Making Hay.

Had the time to complete another painting today, yes another Brook. Don't know what it is about brooks and streams that draw me but I don't want to analyse it too much. I'm going to have to diversify soon and find some new subject matter to explore. However, my customers tend to like water and trees so I shall probably keep painting them. This is my third blog post today, better slow down a bit.

Cuffley Brook. Watercolour 7 x 5 inches.

  1. Don't slow down. Keep making hay. They look great, very fresh.

  2. Hi John-

Just discovered your blog. Really like this painting. Reminds me of some of the forest interiors painted by Gillis van Coninxloo.

  3. Wow! Thanks David. Took a look at some of Gillis van Coninxloo's work and it is outstanding. Thanks for the heads-up, now I have a new artist to explore. Thank you.
