Saddlers Mill Brook.

Saddlers Mill Brook runs from Enfield to Edmonton. It was used to power a water mill sometime in the 1700's, and was situated somewhere near Bury Street West and the A10 Cambridge Road. Unfortunately there are no drawings of the old mill in existence, only written accounts of where it was.

Saddlers Mill Brook. Watercolour 7 x 5 inches,

  1. Beautifully rendered! I like the atmospheric quality you create in your landscapes. They're dreamy.

  2. Any chance of an imaginary water mill... :)

  3. Hi John
Lovely aptmosphere as usual! Like your paintings a lot. They are very unique.

  4. Thank you very much for your kind comments everyone. They are very much appreciated and certainly helps me to keep my blog up to date.

Regarding Marks comment; I could have included an imaginary mill but I decided early on that I would not include figures or buildings in my small watercolour series. I'm afraid that may detract from the timeless quality that I aim for. But, you never know I may be tempted in the future. Good to hear from you again. And hey! everyone, go and look at Mark's blog if you enjoy surreal images. Mark is a modern master of the surreal.

Thankyou for taking time to comment on my blog. It's good to get feedback, I really do appreciate it.
