  1. These are quite lovely John! Are they for sale? I particularly like the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th ones from the top.

  4. John, so glad you are painting again. All these are super and look lovely shown together like this. Talk about romanticism…and your own personal perception of the landscape…. wonderful!
In a different age I could see you painting with the Pre-Raphaelites…. I just love Rossetti's work of that time. The archives at the Ashmolean museum in Oxford is (or used to be some 35 years ago when I used to go there as a teenager) full of his watercolour sketches and drawings….

  5. I can't pick a favorite, these are all just so perfect! You have created little wonderlands here and I today I am going to put myself into one of the scenes and imagine I was there. You made my day xox

  6. Arti, Maggie, Samantha, Rose, thankyou for all your kind words. I'm finding I can lose myself in the woods. It helps a lot. I'm using a larger format than usual and it's helping me to loosen up. Just hope this sudden rush of enthusiasm and productivity will last. Thanks.

  7. I love the larger paintings, John, and I'm hoping it will last as well. You've inspired me to try painting the woods we have here in Florida. :) I truly am blessed to know you xo
